ASAFE trains women to compete in the ICT sector through a partnership with Cisco Networking Academy and creates jobs by providing outsourced back office ICT services.

ASAFE, located in Douala, Cameroon, uses street football to encourage the development of female leadership. A female team participated in the Homeless World Cup, and won the Women Win Challenge Award. Through street football tournaments, ASAFE can bring about income-generating activities, such as training on cell phone repairing, soap making, chips making, peanuts and caramels making and attractive packaging.

Starting in 2010, the model used in the rural village of Batcheu will be used in two other rural villages in Cameroon. ASAFE will work to create guidelines to connect sport to empowerment and income generation.

ASAFE is a highly respected social enterprise with extensive successful programs in developing female entrepreneurship, particularly in ICT in Cameroon. Through their service portfolio, ASAFE provides women microfinance, hands-on business education, counseling and e-commerce support, allowing them to become self-sufficient and bring prosperity to their communities. In 2002 founder Gisele Yitamben was named an "Outstanding Social Entrepreneur" by Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship.
